Guided Breathwork Session

Breath work, sometimes called rhythmic breathing or holotropic breathing, is a powerful practice that uses accelerated breathing and focused intention to access non-ordinary states of consciousness.

Originally an ancient practice and more modernly developed by practitioners like Dr. Stanislav Grof, it facilitates deep journeys into the subconscious, allowing repressed emotions, memories, and insights to surface for processing. This expanded state can lead to profound transformation, emotional release, and lasting healing by unlocking the body’s innate capacity to integrate trauma, release blockages, and reconnect with one’s true essence.

What to expect

  1. For a typical course, we start with some grounding and intention-setting, then move into the breath work, which is basically using rhythmic breathing to open up deeper awareness. For this portion, you can be sitting or lying down.

After about 20-30 minutes, that’s usually where emotions, memories, or insights start to surface naturally.

  2. After that at around 45-70 minutes, you flow into the guided inner-work space. This can happen with or without the aid of plant medicine. Think of it as the breath work shooting you up into higher states of consciousness with more intention, and thereby more momentum.

  3. Afterward, we reflect on what came up, help integrate it into your life, and again practice grounding techniques. It’s this balance of deep release and deep understanding, so you come out feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to others and your truest self.
